Contact/Bio
Kevin was born and raised in New Jersey before moving to Pennsylvania thirty years ago. He has always had an interest in history, and has been fortunate to live in states that are blessed with many historical sites related to early America. His formal education in the art world was attending Du Cret School of Art in Plainfield, N.J., where he graduated in 1981.
He has been employed in corporate advertising for over 40 years, including working for Fortune 500 companies as a graphic designer, illustrator, web-designer and art director, but has always continued his passion for painting. Kevin likes the historical research and takes all his own photo reference for his paintings. He has traveled the American West from Arizona to Colorado, Montana, Wyoming, Idaho, South Dakota and the Canadian Rockies taking reference photos for his paintings. Kevin also participates as a Revolutionary War re-enactor every December at Washington’s Crossing, PA, celebrating the historic Crossing of the Delaware River on Christmas Day in 1776.
“I’m inspired to portray characters from American history - native people, explorers, and pioneers who settled and crossed this continent, and their interaction. They represent the true grit and individual spirit that molded this country. The scenes and characters that I paint hopefully make the viewer more aware of their contributions.”
